Nigerians have reacted to the confession of a 48-year-old herbalist by the name Isiaka Ogunkoya, who was arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for the murder of a self-acclaimed pastor, Kalejaiye Ezekiel.
The herbalists confessed killing the pastor because he was in urgent need of a human being for rituals.
According to his narration to the police, which has gone viral on social media and has also been posted by DailyTrust, the herbalist disclosed that pastor Ezekiel came to him for powers to make his church grow and for his members to multiply. He went further to say that such is his job, and that he is reputed for performing rituals for many pastors in the country, so when pastor Ezekiel visited, he was in urgent need of a human being to use for the preparation of a concoction for one of his clients in Isoyin.
Coincidentally, the pastor visited his shrine, so he seized the opportunity to murder the pastor who only came for rituals. He said he cut off the viral parts he needed and prepare the rituals for his client who had paid him a lot of money.
Unluckily for him, he was arrested by the Ogun State Police men who were on routine stop-and-search duty.
The police Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the native doctor would be seriously profiled and interrogated to know how many people he might have killed in the same manner.
The herbalist pleaded for mercy as he claims that this was his first time in committing such deeds.
