A man has been arrested by the Police over an alleged Internet fraud using facebook to defraud women in Anambra State by offering them jobs and marriages.
The spokesperson for the police in the state, Haruna Mohammed, said this in Awka, Anambra State on Saturday.
He said the suspect targeted females with Facebook accounts desiring marriages and jobs.
Mohammed said the suspect was arrested by the IGP X-Squad attached to the state command following sustained intelligence.
He added that the suspect who bore three different names, Eugene Chimeze Ohamadike, Henry Eze, and Ifeanyi Obiora, was apprehended after he was traced to his hideout in Enugu State.
